Before you book
Five questions worth asking.
The same five for every dentist in the network. Good ones welcome them.
- 1
Will you check my bite as part of the exam?
How the teeth meet drives wear, cracks, headaches and failed work. A complete exam includes it.
- 2
What does your first visit include?
Photographs, a full set of X-rays, a gum check and a conversation about what you want, before any plan.
- 3
If this is cosmetic, can I see a trial version first?
A mock-up in the mouth or on a model shows the result before anything irreversible happens.
- 4
How often should I come in for cleanings?
A clean tooth is a healthy tooth. Many people, and most cosmetic cases, do better at every three months.
- 5
What happens if something hurts during treatment?
The answer should be simple: it stops, and you are made comfortable before it continues.
